Job Summary:
The Retail Sales Associate (RSA) is the first point of contact for Museum retail store visitors and will be responsible for providing a positive, enjoyable learning experience for all visitors.The RSA is an integral member of our Museum team, responsible for day to day operations in our retail store, The Shop. The RSA will demonstrate superior customer service both in person and on the phone and be able to conduct customer transactions/interactions in a professional manner. The RSA will be responsible for conducting sales transactions, maintaining Shop environment, and assisting with the receiving, tagging, and stocking of merchandise. This is a part-time customer service position.
Education Required:
High school diploma or GED/HSED is required.
Experience Required:
Previous experience working in a customer-facing retail environment as would be acquired over a minimum of 2 years.
General knowledge of computer operations and experience working with a retail point of sale (POS and inventory control system.
Familiarity with inventory management, replenishment and merchandising.
Possess sales skills that will contribute to achieving The Shop sales goals.
Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to understand and resolve visitor questions or issues.
Strong attention to detail with ability to handle cash accurately in a
fast-paced environment.
Ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously and work calmly in a dynamic environment.
Must be willing to learn and perform all aspects of day-to-day operations job responsibilities/duties within The Shop environment.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, while also providing exemplary one-on-one assistance to visitors.
Flexibility in schedule is required including weekends, holidays and evenings as required by the business.
Some knowledge of Harley-Davidson history and brand a plus.
